It's less that I was saying that Monica Lewinsky was Clinton's wife as it is me saying that I would treat Hussie as Monica Lewinsky as would Clinton, and by extension of said treatment, one can also compare me to an abused wife.

e- Honestly I just don't view the things Hussie says as being necessarily aggrandizing. I mean, when he says 'PLB', I take that as a joke. It's pretty obvious, to me, that things like that aren't sincere statements. Maybe I'm wrong in this?

I think it's a valid opinion and, as much as I can understand how one man's attitude about his creative work on the internet might set others off (a valid opinion as well!), it's more than a bit unfair for someone who has your opinion to be ganged up on and personally attacked over it.

And that everyone involved should probably go ahead and cool their jets for a bit.

Personally, I've always known he was joking around. But I guess some people can only deal with someone saying something insulting, even as a joke, before they get tired of it and start seeing it as insensitive or passive-aggressive dickery. Other people don't mind that sort of thing at all and will laugh along with the jokes, because hey, why bother getting upset if they didn't mean it that way?

I don't think either person is in the wrong. Some of us are annoyed at Hussie and some aren't. Is this conversation gonna do any more than merry go round and round some more?

Yes, it would be unfair if someone were to make personal attacks on Art of Hilt because of their opinion about this.

My feelings on a hypothetical gang up (assuming a gang is more than two people) are more mixed, but I'm sure that they would probably crystallize in the event of such a gang up over this trivial matter, one way or the other.

I really don't take a lot of that seriously. It seems either self-irony or just trolling. And if there is one theme that characterises Hussie's work more than anything else, it is trolling.

I mean, yeah, he seemed more sincere on the formspring than he usually is, but I really only read that for the plot elaboration. I saw a few of his more douchebag-esque comments, but eh. As long as the story's good. Or at the very least epic.

I am admitting this here, specifically so people can in the future make the highly apt comparison of myself to an abused wife, safe in the knowledge that there exists no one who would reasonably contradict such an extremely correct statement, save for a hypothetical third party logging in through his stolen wireless internet connection in a mental hospital.

e- I am also comparing Andrew Hussie to Clinton as an implication that he is literally as important as the president.
I just want to make it completely clear how I am viewing the entirety of this situation by eliminating any possible ambiguity in my comments.
