Shipping is fun and all, but I think ity really just applies to the trolls, and thats only because the trolls are obsessed with finding romantic partners at a young age out of fear of the drone. The drones are gone, but the mindset is still there for them. The kids don't give a shit as of now and won't give a shit for a while.

The kind of adorable thing I find about Kanaya's conversation with any kid who isn't Rose is that somehow Rose always comes up. Literally, every, single, conversation.
Like, I thought this conversation was going to be an exception since they're talking about holy shit giant universe frogs, and like, maybe now that the conversation is at this gigantic scale we might gloss over our personal feelings a little? But nope, she still comes up in the end.

I guess the purpose of the Ultimate Synthesis is once again called into question. I'm sure it must have SOMETHING to do with creating the universe, but by the sounds of things, they don't need the grist hoards to make Bilious Slick, so the Ultimate Synthesis does not create the universe itself in that case.
