Well, with the Black Queen's ring, the Black King's crown, and the White King's scepter, he's at the point where he's filling numerous roles in the motif. The whole chess thing is still at work, it's just that Jack's set out to break the game with its own rules.

But if my suspicion is correct, and WV? finds the White Queen's ring, the game's rules are eventually going to come back around on top of Jack in a hard, hard way.

The rules apply to others, but clearly not Jack. I kind of see the Agents as a separate entity from the game. They don't have to abide by the rules, as they aren't quite chess pieces.

I think they may perhaps qualify in the rook/knight/bishop category.

He's already broken the rules if he became the new King: While the King can be put in danger(check) destroying the king in an inescapable method ends the game then and there(checkmate). It's no longer about Prospit vs. Derse. There are no White or Black sides in the traditional sense. It's no longer a war, it's freaking chaos. I'd also assume destroying part of the board goes into the idea that this isn't chess anymore. I should rephrase this: this world is obviously chess-themed with certain rules and way things happen, but there is no way in hell they are playing a game of chess anymore(sorry, a lot of things in MSPA turn my brain into mush).

Perhaps, but it still stopped being a chess game when Jack started murdering indiscriminately. The setting is unchanged, however: Jack would be powerless at the moment if the rules of chess still didn't somehow have an effect, since his new powers are the result of those rules.

Those types of pieces were the giant ground-based mecha things we saw before. Jack and his flunkies are probably like WV: pawns. Jack can inherit the powers of the ring, much like a pawn is traded for another piece.

Again, sorry for all the confusion: what I meant to say is that while the setting is chess-based, the situation most certainly isn't anymore.

For those not in the know, there was a bit of a meltdown where Bolin got pissed at Hussie for using some of his unfinished songs (he never mentioned they were unfinished until after they were used) in [S] Rose and Dave: Shut up and jam. Aww, Contention is gone, I really liked that one. May as well save the page while the video is still up.

And was Bolin being serious about saying that? Because seriously, he sounds like a jerk. I probably don't understand, at all to be frank, but I see no problem with the songs. He was given credit for all of them, and he should have mentioned them not being finished.

Not to say I don't enjoy his work, but most of it just never stood out in a way their appearances particularly memorable, and it's unlikely most people even going to really notice the difference after they're removed. Though if Nightlife is taken out of the comic as a part of his bullshit, I will be pissed.

It will be. It's already gone off of the albums. Hussie is removing every trace of Bolin. That included banning him and deleting all of his posts. Seriously, Hussie is pissed, something I honestly did not think was possible (he seems like the ultimate chill dude).
