I don't get it (Again) But now I'm imagining that this tragedy is totally what inspires Jake English to become a certain Lord English we all know and love. I mean I'm not even sure how that works, really But I'd enjoy seeing that (Oh wait her dreamself is alive anyway, right?)

Yeah, but if no Prince or Princess of Derse or Prospit kisses her body sometime very soon, her dreamself will slowly receive sympathetic wounds to match and die as well.
edit: Well, yes, I knew the parallel there, POS, but the thing is that that explosion was turned away from John due to the power of his Cruxite artifact. Jane has no such mojo, since she hasn't even entered the game yet.

I figure given the irreversible permanence of homestuckly death we can basically take for granted that she is 100% gone and will never be seen or heard from again.

What I meant was that the explosion has visual similarities to the meteor impact. The circumstances are different. You know, with the lack of any Cruxite artifacts or other game items and all.
Also, Fifth, I know that death ain't exactly the most immutable thing in this comic, but if/when she comes back or is revealed to have not been killed at all, I have no idea how it's going to have happened, since the established death-cheating things aren't on the table in this sequence (there is no Cruxite artifact, nobody qualified to kiss her alive, and her dreamself ain't on a Questbed.) Unless she becomes a ghost like Aradia, Or R. Lalonde has connected, and been deploying items and building some sort of emergency transportalizer offscreen, then I have no idea what could follow from this, which is what makes it shocking to me. Can I have that?
