Depends on the story.
Like, in Dragon Ball or some versions of Dungeons and Dragons, they cease to exist. In Bleach, they reincarnate. In some other versions of D&D, they reform after a time. Who knows?

Replacing 'o' with '0' was a trait of completely dead Aradia, so half-dead Sollux replaces half of them.
