Dunno what you guys are talking about. Karkat and Nepeta's eyes look pretty dead to me. Pretty cool that what Jaspers said about "needing to die to be with him" (roughly paraphrased) ended up being true. Still I wonder how doomed-godtier-Karkat ended up dieing.

Also, Dream-Jaspers! Now does this mean Jaspers is the result of Roxy's subconscious (or whatever forces may have/will mess with her mind with whatever powers in the future) just like Lil Cal and Dave, and time shenanigans will be involved later? Or will there simply be two Jaspers? Time will tell.

Ap, whoop, nope. Yeah turns out it was a mistake and he fixed the eyes. For both of them.
But since it would be ridiculous for Nepeta to revive and Karkat to go god tier, I sort of expected that. Silently. In the part of my heart where hopes go to die.

But this means the DESCENDANT OF THE FIRST SHIP can happen without conflict so it's for the best.

Or perhaps the god tiered Karkat is an example of Nepeta's dreams. Like, one of them is changing his outfit via lucid dreaming.

Also, aww, it's actually kinda heartwarming to see that she is able to be his friend even in death.

Which just makes Equius's Roboaradia harem even funnier.

Or we can use the sane and logical reason, which is in one of the hundreds of doomed timelines that one of the hundreds of Aradiabots came from, there is a Karkat who managed to go God-tier and subsequently suffered a Heroic (or Just, but that doesn't seem like something that would happen to Karkat) death.

Like I'm pretty sure imagining/dreaming things up in dream bubbles only applies to objects like clothes (though in the case of clothes it's something that the dreamer has worn before, at least from what we've seen) and scenery. When there's another physical person present it is (in all the cases we have seen) another dreamer.

EDIT: Is there any rule in the Dream universe whatever the fuck it is that would prevent a future iteration of Karkat from appearing in the "past" after dying? It'd be kind of cool (and tragic) if Karkat actually went God Tier in the alpha timeline sometime before the comic ends, but then he dies.

EDIT 2: Fucking Marc and his ninjas.
