Futerama was cut short
who else agrees, that was a great show. Matt Groening is a genius. 4 sesions was way to short, it should have lasted as long as simpsons, i miss new episodes of seeing bender leela proffesor fri and all the rest. how crull is ratings, great show, died to young

It was a good show but put yourself in Matt's shoes- can you really handle two cartoons going on for 16 years at one time? He ran out of ideas for Futurama so he cut it short, but that's a durn shame, considering I like both Simpsons and Futurama.

If it was one show or the other, I think The Simpsons should have ended. Personally, I can't watch it anymore, it's running beyond empty.
On the other hand, who knows if Futurama would have remained good for long after that?

simpson's is something that has ALWAYS been with this generation... so taking it away would kind'ove mess wit us... like we kinda lost something.
Kinda like every1 was sad over "friends" finaly ending. Though i do think the futurama gag's began to overlap a little.

Still RaiRai's *****

I liked Futurama way better than later seasons of the Simpsons. It did die too young.

Fox ended Futurama cause it was interrputing Sunday night football. Really they did. Even though it had BETTER ratings than The Simpsons, which is saying a lot. There was gonna be at least one more season but it got dropped AFTER they signed the contracts, Groening was so tired of Fox he didn't contest. But lo a beacon of light, Cartoon Network bought the rights to Futurama and began a run. Futurama gained even more popularity. Now Fox, seeing how they were idiots, tried to buy the rights back. They offered obsenes amounts of money for the rights but both Cartoon Network and Groening said, and I'm paraphrasing, "Hell no." They're are talks for more seasons like Family Guy however.

Maybe they will. For a long time people thought there wasn't going to be anymore Family Guy episodes, yet look what happened.
I haven't watched the Simpsons in a long, long time. As soon as I saw the episode with the jockeys and Homer being pulled into their tree village or whatever, I was done with it. While it was good, and the earlier seasons are still hilarious, it has outlived its time.
