You're thinking of syndication, which is not the same thing.

Family Guy was cancelled, as in, no new episodes were to be made, ever. Then it got syndicated, and its popularity soared, afterwhich it was essentially brought back from the dead, and new episodes were put into production. Simply put, this just doesn't happen with other television shows. Family Guy is one of the first shows to have that happen.

Your opinions about the show aside, I would also ask that you type like a civilized human being.

Psrdirector, be a little less caustic. Your supposed hatred of family guy drips of trying too hard. Maybe the humor is just above you or different from your tastes, whatever they may be. And a large amount of the people in this thread like the show, so saying 'what crap the people in this country watch' is effectively a direct insult. Bad move.

Oh man, I love futurama. I love all the inside sci-fi jokes they slip in.

The Star Trek episode is probably one of my least favorites ever. Completely predictable episode that got all its jokes from Star Trek stereotypes that were bled dry of their humor value decades ago.

and no family guy isnt first. what i said is there have been shows that went beyond canclation, to no longer being on the air on any chanle, then they come back, all that is new for this low brow show is that it was done faster and you like it so you care, other then that it is not new in any way

And like I said before, what you're thinking of is syndication. That's not what's happening to Family Guy.
