Fry: I'll kill you!! You bastard!! I'll kill you!!
After Fry got his arm cut off by Zoidberg, also in that episode: Zoidberg: Fry, look what you did. She won't shut up. Some of my favorite lines

Might be slightly off topic, but does anyone know what the final Futurama episode was?

*Twitches* It's called a hiatus. The shows aren't cancelled at all, they are simply rotated out of the lineup while new episodes are in production, with some existing episodes occasionally being shown. This happens because shows take a long time to produce, and they simply can't bang a new one out every week of the year. On another note, the final episode was The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings, the one where Fry switches hands with the Robot Devil so that he could play the Holophoner. I always liked that episode that was a parody of the Vietnam conflict...
That's what I like about Futurama. It manages to mock so much stuff in a sci-fi parody. As for Family Guy, if all you can get out of it is low-brow humor, then you're missing out on all the higher-brow humor in there. (RABBI and PRIEST walk into bar behind MEG.) RABBI: Hey, did you hear the one about us? Whee! High-brow humor! That's it. I'm not even going to argue with someone who can't see past dick and fart jokes when there's so much more.

I agree that the final episode certainly never brought any finality with it. It left you wanting more, which was probably exactly what is was meant to do. It keeps interest up, and people start saying "Hey, I'd like to see what happens next!" and fan letters pour in, lots of things happen and Mr. Groening smirks and gives Fox the finger.

Actually, the ending of that episode pretty much implied the start of a Fry-Leela relationship, which was the main plotline the series still hadn't tied up.
When the episode was being made, the show's cancellation wasn't set in stone yet, but the producers still had a pretty good idea about the show's fate. Therefore, they tried to strike a compromise between leaving future possibilities open while still resolving some key points. Hell, it even says "See you on another network" at the beginning of the show. |

I never saw that episode, altough I remember a Robot Devil and an Holophoner. But I can't remember both being in the same episode.
Edit: Is it me or is that Robot Devil damn talented? He can get a decent sound of a solid gold violin and play that Holowatchama!

And whats a musicol? And are you not reading our posts because we're right, or because you just realized we're right and instead of being a decent human being you decided to continue to believe in whatever it is you've wrapped your mind around. Also, the last episode, again, was where Fry switched hands with the Robot Devil to play Leela a Holophoner symphony.
