I'm actually really enjoying this development. It's nice to see John experience some growing pains, as opposed to being his usual oblivious happy-go-lucky self. Karkat seems to have rubbed off on him.

It's also funny to think that John's actually spent more total time this angsty compared to the time we spent with him (which was only a single day.)
