...You know, I wouldn't mind Wizardy Herbert as its own story. It's so strange, like the characters are trapped in another world, but that world is a story about themselves.

This is the most hideous thing. The color hurts my eyes and roxy spells almost as bad as that guy, whathishelmet, sollux's ancestor, and he has the excuse of huge brain damage.

Her spelling on the last page is because she was drunk.
As for the big-text stuff, I'm assuming it's either something she wrote a long time ago, when she was much worse at writing, or when she was drunk, or it's intentionally a horribly-written story, since the story is about these guys trapped in a horribly-written story.

Yup. I believe that they were there as an obscure reference to Wizardy Herbert in its original format as a story Hussie never quite released.
Weren't Sawtooth and Squarewave from And It Don't Stop? I haven't read that, so I don't know.
