It suddenly occurs to me that the one possible storyline outcome here that'd be even worse than Trickster Mode continuing to be a thing would be Dirk using his Dirk Is Bestest Overpowered Character Powers to somehow snap the other kids out of Trickster Mode, thereby reestablishing his supremacy

I'd say we have 3 possibilities.

1: Dirk snaps everyone out of it (not very likely at all, considering he doesn't have the Juju Breaker)

2: Dirk splinters off another version of himself that's tricksterfied.

3: Dirk is turned, and it will be down to the kids and trolls arriving on the meteor and battleship to sort this out.

Dirk somehow untricksterizing the alpha kids would quite possibly be the first and only thing in homestuck that I would legitimately take issue with from a storytelling perspective, because once you take away his toys Dirk is easily one of the dullest fucking characters in the comic and he narratively does not deserve the position of undoing all of these shenanigans.
