And the half that's arguably not dead decided to stay with all the other entirely dead people to spend eternity enjoying a dead person's existence, which is ultimately no different than if he were entirely, indisputably dead.
Why would anyone need Karkat to specifically note his basically dead friend as different from all his other dead friends, especially since it's been three years since Sollux died and has no intention of being anything other than dead? Also why would anyone care about Sollux anyway?
