Oddly enough, the smart money seems to be on the Aradia-Boom, nap, computer explosion, and Green Sun discussion all happening at the same time.
Heck, this latest page, showing Eridan freaking out, and Feferi taking her nap in the same shot, seems to both confirm it and deny it (denying it by Aradia not being all exploded, that is).

Someone put together all the "Be Future Troll" snapshots that appeared in Alterniabound and they basically lined up perfectly, so yeah. Should be an explosion in the immediate future.

I'm amazed that the most neutral/passive/borderline-nihilistic troll is the one to have a nervous breakdown that approaches suicide. Or maybe not, it's always the quiet ones you have to watch, especially after she suddenly flipped out and killed Vriska.

It certainly looked sudden for a character who had been eerily 0K with a lot of things, including her own death.
Of course, taking into account that the Soulbot gave her some emotions, it gains a lot of sensemake.

I'm still not seeing how you didn't know that was coming. It wasn't a surprise at all that she tore Vriska a new one when she caught up with her. Bitch KILLED HER.
As I read it, the only emotion he tried to program her with was love for him. I didn't see any mention of other emotions and never assumed he added more then the story stated he had.

Nobody said it was a surprise. They just said it was sudden, which it was. She wasn't doing a thing, then, suddenly, she was very emphatically doing that thing.

His original wording made it sound like she just flew off the deep end out of nowhere, when we know exactly where it came from and how deep it was. At least to me it sounded like that.
If he meant it as he didn't see it coming along the next page right at that moment, well...yeah, no shit.
