I think her reasons are pretty obvious--she's competing against Terezi, so she's trying to take out/incapacitate Dave so her boy comes out on top.

I like it. I wasn't super fond of the first picture of Rose's face, but everything since then has been pretty cool, and I'm all for experimentation.

My only real issue with it is that we're getting fewer pages per update, but I'm willing to bet that has more to do with the pixel pages.

Edit: I think the kernelsprites look much MUCH better in this style.

Yeah, it was pretty weird at first, but you gotta admit it does represent the scenes better. In Dave's case, it shows the vastness of his planet, and by extension everyone else's. In Rose's case, it does a great job of conveying her emotions and her the magnitude of her magic powers better than the regular art.

I mean, can you imagine Davesprite staring down the horde of monsters done any other way?

If it helps, it's the same style we've been seeing so far for Hero Mode, only now it's being used more often.

Also, I think maybe it's supposed to symbolize the fact that the kids are done messing around. It's the eleventh hour and they're getting down to business, meaning they're engaged in near perma-Hero Mode.

On another subject, do you think Dave's going to get himself another set of Timetables? And if so, will he alchemize them with his current set to make some sort of super Timetables?

Though if that was possible, you'd think Aradia would've done it with one of her alternate future selves. But I like to think that Dave and Aradia treat their time travel in different ways. Though she presumably did more than that, all we saw of Aradia was the army of doomed alternate selves she amassed, which keeps in tone with her sense of fatalism. But Dave has expressed an aversion to dead Daves, preferring stable time loops. I imagine he'd try to think outside the box.
