Davesprite might be there specifically to save Bro. Odds are he knows Jack is alive in the future from conversations with Terezi and the simple fact that the session is still running in the future. Obviously he didn't know Bro would be facing off with Jack when he found him, but he may already be planning a retreat.

Of course, Bro could also wind up dead from saving Davesprite And there's a good chance they're both just gon get killed.

...yup. It's official.

Jack is so outmatched, so overpowered, so trapped... that there is absolutely no chance in Hell that he isn't about to transform from the next prototyping and wipe the floor with all three of his opponents in a few moments.

It's been said before, but now it's pretty much a certainty.

Oh right, Jack can channel cherry-flavored lightning. I forgot about that completely, but then it might have been because Jack went sword-only against Bro the first time.

Wait, I know John's a bit preoccupied with Jade, but don't you think he'd notice cherry flavored Apocalypse rays? I'm curious to see if he'll do anything about all this.

But the real question in this is if the author would kill characters off in this. I mean the set up is there in that neither of them seem to be required for the story to go on, but that's a hell of a step.

Am I the only one that didn't think Jack was out-matched etc etc? I thought it was made rather clear that Bro and Davesprite were in trouble given what Jack has already done.

Seeing as it's a waterfall of fire now... yeah, it's oil.

Though they are REALLY running with how the Queen is the most powerful piece in Chess... especally with the Death Star-level of destructive power in the ring.
