Rose is being very careful not to suggest anything to John that could fuck shit up. I don't think she'd have told him that he needs to prototype the kernel if something were going to happen on its own, or if he needed to wait for some specific event. That kinda makes Bec-typing it seem less likely to me. However that still does seem like a definite possibility, so I'm waffling. I guess we'll find out pretty soon anyway.
A flaming planet could look an awful lot like a sun. Just sayin.
