I am getting a distinct Courts of Chaos/Amber feel from the Gods/Skaia (or maybe Green Sun). In general, both seem to be interested in perpetuating the cycle of universes, but they also seem to be in conflict. That conflict may be what allows reality as we know it. Something tells me that either one "winning" would be a very bad thing.

I remain unconvinced that Snowman is a necessary step for summoning Lord English. While her purpose may result in that or be achieved through that, I don't think it's that simple. Based on what we've been told, a Snowman-like entity is unnecessary for Lord English.

I'm guessing the Scratch is what gets Rose to the Green Sun (although I won't rule out it being a result of her blowing up the same), which would be why it enrages Jack. Either he'd have to have found out about the Alternia-verse through his own nigh-omnipotence, or some other means. That said, I'm not entirely certain why he'd go there. It can't just be anger driving him, or he'd kill all the kids first, and since the title of the comic is Homestuck, not Hivebent, I'm guessing that won't happen. I can only imagine that it's an incredibly desperate attempt to stop this shit from ever happening, which obviously can't work.

Anyway, the fact that we're going to be dealing with a realm outside of time does a lot to explain what the timelines look like post-Scratch.

All of this seems to lend more credence to Lord English = Bilious Slick, but I'm still not super fond of that theory - maybe when we have more info. It certainly makes Jack seem like less of a threat, since he's basically already dealt with.

Edit: One possibility is that Snowman exists because Doc Scratch wants to get his job over with as fast as possible so he can die. I could sorta see that, I guess. If he has a Dr. Manhattan-like existence, then it might be necessary for him to actually exist up to when his boss enters the universe in order for his awareness to extend that far. But then, it seems like he was perfectly happy to exist so long as he had a purpose to ensure.

Edit: But then you wouldn't really expect a First Guardian to outlive its universe anyway, so he wouldn't especially need Rose to help facilitate any of this. There's surely a million other ways Snowman could meet her end. If that could end him, that is.
