Nah, the log seems to indicate that Tavros didn't direct Bec to put the gun anywhere specific. So either it was random chance, or Bec's personal doing.

Besides, Tavros wouldn't have been able to see Jade's grandpa, since he wasn't with Jade at the time. Of course, it is possible that he's joking a bit there, and it totally was intentional and he was like "and just use it to kill that guy that I saw before," but I can't imagine it would have happened without Bec wanting it to happen in that case.

Terezi's dragon wasn't a First Guardian.

It's a wonder Tavros' power even works. Makes me wonder if Vriska's might work on Scratch.

edit: Also, I find it notable that Tavros can apparently commune with a FIRST GUARDIAN that is in another universe, while Vriska seems to struggle to do anything other than put them to sleep/wake them up.

Reminds me of how she had to pull a PSYCHIC DOUBLE REACHAROUND to get Terezi to do anything. As in, she had to make Tavros (easily) control the one creature who could control Terezi.

Tavros's power might be a bit narrower than Vriska's, but it seems to be stronger.

Which makes sense, because the lower-blooded trolls are the most psychic.

Also wasn't it said that Vriska could only put humans to sleep because of the huge differences in Troll and Human physiology? I know it wasn't stated as the definitive reason she could only put them to sleep, but it was mentioned as a possible reason. Meanwhile Tavros could also control the creatures in the Medium, showing that he can control any animal, regardless of the type of animal they are.
