I would imagine, since Tavros already controls things way different from himself, controlling earth animals isn't that much trouble.
As for crossing dimensions, it probably has something to do with being in the Veil as opposed to their home dimension

No. That is not how responsibility works.

Assuming he just told Bec to save Jade, of course. In that case he is not directly, indirectly or even accidentally responsible for the death of Jade's grandpa. That's like blaming the guy who says "don't hit that pedestrian" when you choose to swerve into a schoolyard full of children.

Unless he intentionally had Bec redirect the bullet into Jade's grandpa, Tavros did not fuck up in any way.

Edit: However, rereading the log, I'm becoming more inclined to think he may well have done it intentionally.

Tavros told Bec to save Jade. Bec saved Jade by teleporting the guns away. The result of said gun teleportation was the death of Grandpa. Tavros is the reason Bec teleported the guns in the first place, i.e. he's responsible for Bec teleporting the guns, and therefore accidentally responsible for the death of grandpa.

That's still not how responsibility works.

I'm inclined to believe that he did tell Bec to redirect the bullet into Grandpa's waiting lungs (I get the feeling Bec wouldn't have needed Tavros' urging to intervene), but as far as the "Bec chose to do it himself" scenario is concerned, Tavros is not at fault.

Assumption, assumption. Just because he sounds mischievous does not make him guilty. We only need wait and see and he will likely be forced to state clearly if he killed grandpa purposely because he lacks the ability to hold his ground when forced. Except in kissing the girl.
