You're both misinterpreting my post

A dead body is a dead body, but a dead body with a sword through it isn't necessarily a stabbing victim. A dead body with a gunshot wound and a sword through it might just be a time-displaced dual-flintlock wielding baby drive-by victim.

As I read Tavros' good intentions for that I still keep thinking "but he still shot Grandpa Harley".

Tavros is now not as cool as before for totally intentionally killing Grandpa out of cultural insensitivity.

Okay so imagine you're a human. And you're looking in on another universe via magical computer program shenanigans. Specifically, looking in on someone as a baby who will be important later in life. They are in imminent danger from a projectile. You have the means to deflect that projectile. There is also a hideous beast of some sort in the area, who you could easily deflect that projectile into, killing it. Would you do so? Oops, you just killed a troll's lusus. What an asshole, you intentionally killed his guardian out of cultural insensitivity.

Prospit's destruction is (was) Jade's Stavromula Beta (I feel like I've used this reference before in this thread). Of course, there's dead timelines and stuff, but if grandpa knew that much, then he'd probably also know that acting naturally is part of ensuring the timeline.

So he'd have a good, but also flawed reason to believe that Jade is safe.

Edit: Okay, Tavros, this is just getting painful. Jade's expression is absolutely fantastic.
