Much as I'd like it to be otherwise, Vriska isn't that stupid I think.

I doubt her plan is as simple as walking up to Jack and rolling her dice at him.

It's also apparent that there's a point where the predestination paradox isn't in effect: the point where the kids cross over into the trolls' universe. Plus there is a bit of a disagreement about the submission to fate amongst the characters. Rose is doing everything she can to subvert the time loop and break free while Dave is using it to his advantage and Vriska is trying to pretend like she's the one in control of it all along. Lord English's whole existence hinges on it, whereas Jack doesn't even seem to give a shit.

It's at least very up front about the nature of the stable time loop and an interesting exploration about how people who are knowingly stuck in one would deal with the situation. I mean, at least it's not an out of left field plot twist used to set up a simple brick joke after 10 years or anything.

I mean, that'd just be silly.

I think it's safe to say that, at least on some level, Vriska is being presented as a villain again.

These circumstances of the paradox-death make sense. Not only is this Droog but also he has the well known advantage of spears/lances over swords, now if Dave used axes on the other hand . . .

I honestly can't think of a better time, actually, as he's not just standing up for himself, he's standing up for an entire universe. Two entire universes, in fact. He's our last hope.

Also, Vriska's in her Cage shrine room on the other side of the compound from the computer terminal Tavros is on. He can't possibly get any further away from her.

That's also true. I don't know, I've sort of been conditioned to slap mental warning labels to every conversation with Vriska.

I mean, being physically distant from her doesn't stop her from manipul8ting ya.
