I just feel bored. I've already said that I don't hate her, I just don't like her effect on the story, because she isn't the villain. She made the villain, at least the one we have the most trouble coming from right now. There might be something bigger beyond the both of them and even her machinations, and I would love to see it.
For now it is just a distinct boredom best described by the phrase propagating around right now. Vriska did it.

But why does everyone attribute this as "Vrisak did it"?
In no way did she really guide Jack into stabbing John. He was going to do that. There was absolutely nothing she could have done ot make Jack want to kill John any more or less. He was there, and tracking the guy down, and he's also part god. |

Finally caught up with the series today, have to say that its moving fairly quickly even from the front, so its a race at this point to catch up with current posts from the very beginning.
OPINIONS ON THINGS SO FAR: John Egber appears to be bleeding profusely, which is sad since he was my favorite character. Vriska is a stuck-up crazy bitch, obviously delusional and going to make a lot of problems for everyone, and I love her for it. I hope she dies, but I love her. Bro is dead. Jade is probably the single most useful character in the events thus far considering all the stuff she did throughout the first few acts to arrange for items to go where they needed to go, bringing together the little black creatures in Skaia, and getting the robo-bunny to John when he needed it to keep Jack at bay. The trolls need to lay off of her about being useless. I share the confusion the four human characters have about the caste of trolls. The sheer number of them is quite annoying, since they were all introduced almost at the same time. At first it was extremely annoying how they had their annoying chat mechanics and colors, but now its gotten to the point that its the only way I can identify them. Aside from a few very important ones (such as Vriska) I can mostly only associate a name and a face. The art, music, and flash animations have been fantastic. Rose was among my favorite characters and I will dearly miss her if she dies. Dave seemed like an annoying douchebag at first, but he's improved, especially lately with all of his nonsensical timewarping shenanigans. The troll wHO tYPES uSING cAPITAL lETTERS tHE wRONG wAY seems like an interesting character with a great deal of room for development. His recent conversation with Jade, however, was just plain awkward on a variety of levels. It is my sincerest hope that he will become less of a pansy, and will ultimately be Vriska's undoing. The very muscular troll with the dominatrix fetish is strange. |
