Actually with the way the explosion looks, a lot of the spires (including the one that I think WV is in) are just blown away. So it's possible for him to survive without putting on the ring. But that would be lame.

Whether or not he puts on the ring, WV's protected by Plot Armour. In fact, he may be sent flying into said Plot Armour Meteor Heading To A Portal To Exile Earth right now. And the bunny gets to Derse to meet Dream Rose + Dream Dave in a similar manner.

So, this is probably Jade before Dave gets shown her bullets, since there's no sign of Jack following her like a lost puppy.

But is this Karkat before Eridan popped in and commited wanton acts of wwhite science? Karkat's not exactly freaking out about Gamzee waltzing off, as he would be if sober-Gamzee had been brought to heel and controlled in some way.

He mentioned that he doesn't know where Gamzee is, and he seemed calm, so this is presumably before people started dying.

Jade does seem vaguely aware of what happens with Gamzee though, so I have no idea where she is.
