It would be relevant if I actually called you a troll, which I would have if I thought you were. The statement itself carries a pretty recognizable troll funk, though. Someone might think you were attempting just that if they were inclinded to see it.

EDIT: Locke, your attempts to change the subject might qualify if they don't take hold

I think it's safe to assume that I wouldn't be supporting said slashfics if I felt they were depicting the characters as age thirteen. The ones I read generally depict them as older, and the ones I like where the age is more dubious aren't really sexual in nature. Shipping isn't inherently sexual. Sometimes it's just cute romance, which makes me happy and smiley and shit.

Yeah, reading that again at not-3 AM makes it sound a lot more offensive than I had intended.

My main problem with taking John and deciding he's gay isn't that he's gay, but that they felt the need to change that aspect of him. Like, imagine you had a Yaoi fanfiction, where they took the leads and then decided that they all deserved heterosexual marriages, and despite the best attempts of their old love interest, no way would they want that, since this woman has seduced them into thinking that heterosexual is the way to go.

You'd dislike that, I assume. It's the same grounds if Karkat seduces John into thinking homosexuality is the way to go.

Additionally, in yaoi the *point* is that all the characters are gay and want to sleep with each other.

The point of MSPA is not John wanting to sleep with girls. In fact, he hasn't really seemed to consider romance stuff at all, except to the extent that others brought it up.
