Due to Demon's request to post the final chatlog between Otaku and I, I decided to post it. Keep in mind, I was pretty much arguing to argue, and I know my logic isn't that great. (not one of my proudest moments, usually I can just walk away from an arguement but, hey) But nevertheless, here it is in unedited glory. (to protect the innocent?) Looking over it now, I see both of us really had no clue on what we were talking about. BUT I did manage to piss him off so... go me?

(part 1 of two, I hope it's okay if I double post. T_T the chat log was too big)
Code:
Cidloufious: Still working on it?
CelesJessa87: just chatting with lots of people
Cidloufious: -Sniff-
CelesJessa87: well you weren't talking, or else I would be chatting with you
Cidloufious: I was AFK, in case you didn't see my status.
CelesJessa87: well I know
CelesJessa87: but, what's why you weren't talking
Cidloufious: Okay, fine, let's chat.
CelesJessa87: ok
Cidloufious: I like hentai.
CelesJessa87: I know you do. I like music.
Cidloufious: I know you do. Why do you like music?
CelesJessa87: because, I like singing and dancing to it
Cidloufious: So you play DDR?
Cidloufious: Or KR(Karoke Revolution)?
CelesJessa87: DDR
Cidloufious: There you go! That's the problem right there.
Cidloufious: DDR is for losers.
CelesJessa87: no it isn't
CelesJessa87: it's very fun
Cidloufious: Just because it's fun doesn't mean it's not for losers
CelesJessa87: but it's not for losers
Cidloufious: Yes it is.
CelesJessa87: why is it for losers?
Cidloufious: The Olypics are for losers, too, you know that?
Cidloufious: Why is it for losers? Because most people who play DDR suck at all other games.
Cidloufious: Why? Because they're gymnists, not gamers.
CelesJessa87: what if they don't suck at all other games?
CelesJessa87: I don't suck at all other games
Cidloufious: Keyword emphasis: most
CelesJessa87: are you sure?
CelesJessa87: have you done research?
Cidloufious: Yep.
Cidloufious: Yep.
CelesJessa87: because most people I know who play DDR are great gamers
Cidloufious: Let me ask you this: How good are they at DDR compared to their other games?
Cidloufious: Gymnists spend their time doing aerobics. Thus, they can rank in high scores on DDR, but suck at other games.
Cidloufious: Likewise, the typical gamer is lazy and can't play DDR as good.
CelesJessa87: they are great at both DDR and other games
Cidloufious: Are you sure? How long before they get exhausted from playing DDRMax?
CelesJessa87: depends what song
Cidloufious: And how many people do you know?
CelesJessa87: say if we were playing MAX300, that would get us tired sooner
Cidloufious: As opposed to the typical gymnist?
CelesJessa87: how soon would a gymnist get tired?
CelesJessa87: playing DDR isn't like doing cartwheels
Cidloufious: Not as quickly.
Cidloufious: No, but the gymnit is more physically endurable.
Cidloufious: gymnist*
Cidloufious: Or hell, pro dancers, even.
CelesJessa87: well, I've been dancing for 12 years, should I be getting tired as quickly as a gymnist then?
Cidloufious: Key emphasis: pro
Cidloufious: And why woul a gymnist tire quickly?
Cidloufious: Let me ask you this: do you tire as "quickly" as a gymnist?
CelesJessa87: because, just because you are good at something doesn't mean you don't get exhausted
Cidloufious: I'm quite aware of this, but endurance makes you get exhausted not as fast.
CelesJessa87: true
CelesJessa87: but jsut becasue they don't get exausted at DDR as quickly as other gamers doesn't mean they can't play other games well
Cidloufious: Look, I sat on my ass playing video games all summer. I'm going back to school and I have to walk all over campus; I get tired very quickly.
Cidloufious: I know in a couple weeks, after walking around campus a lot, I will regain my endurance.
Cidloufious: Someone who's going to be a gymnist is going to devote a lot of time to that profession, whereas someone who's going to be a gamer will devote a lot of time to that profession.
Cidloufious: Hell, you haven't even played Brave Fencer Musashi!
CelesJessa87: what I haven't played isn't a matter of how good I am
CelesJessa87: and even if you devote a lot of time to one thing
CelesJessa87: it doesn't mean you can't be good at something you don't devote yourself to as much
Cidloufious: Being good and just being awesome are two different things.
Cidloufious: The more time you spend at something, the better you get; practice makes perfect.
Cidloufious: Even among video gamers, there's the different leagues. Same with sports.
CelesJessa87: I thought the arguement was that they would "suck" at gaming, now it's not good enough to just be good?
Cidloufious: Is someone who spends all their free time playing baseball going to be good at football? Or even have the body for wrestling?
Cidloufious: I'm getting there.
CelesJessa87: there are some things that tie together that you might not realize.
Cidloufious: If you're awesome at DDR, then there's two reasons why: One. You're a gymnist or dancer or some sort, Two. All you do is DDR. Either way, you're not devoting time to other games thus you're sucking at other games, thus you're a loser.
CelesJessa87: such as, even though I don't play video games every waking hour, I'm good at them because I'm good at strategizing, and I have good eye-hand coordination
Cidloufious: You can try and balance the two, but there will be decay in both.
Cidloufious: Oh, come on, playing DDR with a controller?
Cidloufious: Lame!
Cidloufious: There's no point beind DDR if you're using a controller.
Cidloufious: I'm typing about the dance pag.
Cidloufious: dance pad.*
CelesJessa87: I'm not talking about using the controller
Cidloufious: Outside of RPGs and DDR, what games have you played?
CelesJessa87: tons
CelesJessa87: I've been playing games since before I can remember
Cidloufious: What?
Cidloufious: Let's look at the simplicity of some games.
Cidloufious: RPGs, the only thought required is to solve the puzzles. Really.
CelesJessa87: I don't only play RPGs
Cidloufious: Old-school Mario games...jump. Big deal. That's simply.
Cidloufious: Old-school fighting games take a lot of practice, however.
CelesJessa87: like killer instinct?
Cidloufious: Before KI even!
Cidloufious: Art of Fighting, King of Fighters.
Cidloufious: Street Fighter.
CelesJessa87: okay street fighter
CelesJessa87: I've played that
Cidloufious: Street Fighter. Not Street Fighter II.
CelesJessa87: CelesJessa87: okay street fighter
CelesJessa87: I've played that
CelesJessa87: a long time ago
Cidloufious: And tell me it wasn't a nuisance truthfully.
CelesJessa87: it was, because you had to learn the moves and such, but you could learn
Cidloufious: What moves?
Cidloufious: There was just jump, punch, and kick.
Cidloufious: And crouch, left, and right.
CelesJessa87: ah I was getting the games confused, there's usually special moves in fighting games
Cidloufious: Exactly. You have not played Street Fighter.
Cidloufious: You played Street Fighter II.
CelesJessa87: I have to, It's jsut been a long time
Cidloufious: There was no fierce punch, mid punch, weak punch, and the same for kicks.
CelesJessa87: I'm sorry if I can't accurately document every single game I've played
Cidloufious: Thus, you suck.
Cidloufious: Even then, SF was nothing compared to Art of Fighting.
CelesJessa87: okay, because I can't remember 100% of the 100 some games I have, I suck?
Cidloufious: Sure, why not? An I have a hard time believing you have an arcade console, ince you don't have $500 to buy one.
CelesJessa87: I don't own street fighter
Cidloufious: Like IHMN and Mario Bros.
Cidloufious: Exactly.
Cidloufious: CelesJessa87: okay, because I can't remember 100% of the 100 some games I have, I suck?
Cidloufious: Yet, you confess to not having Street Fighter.
CelesJessa87: why should I remember street figher if I can't remember the games I own
Cidloufious: That's not really my problem, is it?
CelesJessa87: you're acting like it is
Cidloufious: How is it my problem?
Cidloufious: You don't remember those games because...why? Because you haven't played them for a while. You've rusted.
CelesJessa87: because you're acting like it's a mortal sin if I can't remember them
Cidloufious: Then it's your problem; you're committing the sin.
CelesJessa87: big deal I can't remember every game I've played, I only remember aspects of my favorite ones
Cidloufious: Exactly. You're like an otaku who can't remember anime.
CelesJessa87: do you rememebr every anime you've every seen?
CelesJessa87: or just the best ones?
CelesJessa87: your favorites
Cidloufious: I remember the sucky ones, too.
CelesJessa87: down to a detail?
Cidloufious: X the movie. Garbage. Horrible. The setting was far too dark throughout the whole film, and no character development was made.
Cidloufious: The two biggest characters are killed right off.
Cidloufious: Don't even look to be important to the plot.
Cidloufious: Then all of a sudden, this kid with a sword shows up and starts bashing things.
CelesJessa87: have you ever seen sailor moon?
Cidloufious: His best friend's sister is taken away somewhere, and his best friend goes afgter her.
Cidloufious: Indeed I have.
CelesJessa87: alright, indulge me with some details
Cidloufious: Usagi, otherwise known as Serena in the States, is a teenager who goes o high school with Ami...
Cidloufious: to*
Cidloufious: and Lita, as Jupiter is known in the States.
CelesJessa87: what's lita's japanese name?
Cidloufious: Should I know if I've only seen SM on CN?
CelesJessa87: well you knew Serena's japanese name
Cidloufious: Should I know if I'e only seen SM on CN?
Cidloufious: I've*
Cidloufious: Should I know?
