I remember WW tried to correct Meister on a moderative decision, and that didn't go over well. I looked for it and found nothing, though.

Well, I didn't mean to put it back to assholey stuff. Could be stuff like, I dunno, "Awesomeness incarnate" or something. Something besides cold, sterile numbers.

Was it that? I thought he got caught up in whatever got DB at the same time. But I was absent for the week it happened. Something like they went back and got some people for toeing the line. I'm not sure myself, someone did an exceptionally poor job of explaining it to me.

Still, Wombat spent most of his time on the boards acting arrogant, which would've gotten him canned eventually. Just like it did with Continuum, Wind up Bird, PSRdirector, and Otaku Son. So, let that be a lesson to those of you out there who write as if other board members are so wrong and can't possibly know what they're talking about; you can't get away with that kind of behavior indefinitely. Unless you're a mod. :p

My question: What happened to Anarchy Balsac? He used to have a user title of BANNED, now he seems to actually be banned. On the Forum Leaders list and everything. I can't find any offensive material in his posts, so, what'd he do?

One of my fears is I seem like one of these guys -- who comes across as really arrogant and condescending -- and don't realize it. For the record, I try not to get like that. I once opted not to include "I thought that was obvious" in a Discussion post not because I thought it was flaming, but because the other guy was setting off my "may fly off the handle" alarm and I didn't want to provoke flaming.

An exception exists when someone says critical apparently for the sake of being critical, whereupon I respond with a sentence mixing sarcasm and condescension to indicate their statement is unjustified, before returning to my regular post. I think that's happened twice total.

Hey! There's nothing wrong with being arrogant, as long as you pull it off as well as I do. I'm ban-proof!


By the way, I don't think that any of our mods have ever been too harsh. Sure, Mash and Shiney have their strict moments, but as an online community grows, you're forced to get a bit stricter when more assholes come aboard. In my book, the mods being "harsh" is a necessary evil, and anyone who hangs around long enough will find out that the mods have their playful sides, just like the rest of us. It really saddens me to see trolls attack the admins. Oh well, life goes on.
