The bots are never convincing because they don't "remember" anything they've been asked or any of their responces. And they don't actually realize what is being talked about. They just have a ginormous databank of responces that they match to key words. I could probably make a simple one in an hour with Java.

Those are the funniest things ever... I knew a guy in computer class that went online and started messing around with SmarterChild. If I posted the conversation, I would probably be banned, but needless to say there were three of us watching the conversation, and all of us were laughing our heads off. We almost got busted once when we started laughing out loud when we should have been working... Great moment.

This is part 2 of the previous conversation. I started it again this morning. In this one I actually get it to visit Nuklear Power! Plus, I reveal SmarterChild's true identity...Osama bin Laden! Yes, the terrorist mastermind himself!
This one is only a little longer than the last, but it's worth it to see the end. The beginning's a little bit of a tongue twister, but I think the rest flowed nicely. [Edit] Okay, sorry, it's actually a little shorter than the last one.

"BobtheMercenary: Are you trying to get your kids killed?
SmarterChild: Uh... Yeah!" hehe! What a way to end the conversation. SmarterChild is osama too. The FBI and CIA are after it, it can't say what his location is, and it directly implied it was osama. HA! What got me was that it said it went to nuklearpower.com, but pretended not to know about it afterwards. The machine has learned how to lie... @_@

Damn that slippery SmarterChild, always playing the amnesia game.
I hope killing his spawn has taught him that he cant hide behind false ignorance forever! I've had a few interesting chats with that fellow....if by interesting you mean worthless and annoying.

Wow! This one was an adventure. This time, I actually laughed out loud.
This time I reveal that there were never any ties between Osama and Saddam Hussein! I also find out Osama bin Laden's EXACT LOCATION! Also, after finding that Osama's memory has been completely lost, I try to help him regain it. I also uncover that...yes...Osama bin Laden is blind and quadrapalegic. It's true! I also tip him off to the troops hunting for him and in the end...I succeed in getting Osama bin Laden to end his own life!

Smarterchild is free, just IM it.
And, apparently, Asimov's laws haven't been ingrained into its programming.
