L4Ds are laggy :/
So yeah, both L4D games have become laggy in my laptop, the sound is choppy too. The problem is that I used to play those 2 games in this same laptop and they ran just fine last time. The settings are the same as before and all. Also, TF2 is working as good as ever.
Just in case here are my laptop's specs Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 512MB 4GB RAM Any idea guys? EDIT: Oh, and Serious Sam TSE HD works fine too, and it seems to be a more graphically intense game :/

Valve games are always Processor heavy. Try this
right click your shortcut. Go to the end of the target line (DON'T DELETE ANYTHING) Type " -High " with out quotes Apply this should set the games to Higher priority on the IRQ. thus making it less choppy.

UPDATE!
Upon further inspection, the games don't lag at all, it's just the sound that gets pretty choppy at times, always at the beginning and randomly switches between normal and choppy while playing. The sound's perfect in the games' menu though . Also, I really like the axe now . I'll leave the antivirus scanning my lappy and see if it finds anything, then I'll see is system restore helps, maybe I messed some setting or whatever.
EDIT: ...uh, it doesn't seems like I have a recent restore point o_O. I remember having some last week...
