"The Correctors" interest thread
"The Correctors" are a group of time-traveling notable historical figures who seek to repair the damage caused to the timelines by anything from punk teenagers from the future to Machiavellian super villains hell-bent on permanently destroying entire arcs of history. They are led by an armed-to-the-teeth Ernest Hemingway, with technological backing from none other than Nikola Tesla and Leonardo Da Vinci. (Yes, this concept is loosely based off of Jesus Christ: In the Name of the Gun, where Ernest Hemingway went back and fought Nazis and stuff. I've only read the first book, but the idea stuck.)
Notable members of the society include: Harriet "Thunder Down Under" Tubman Leonardo Da Vinci Nikola Tesla Ernest Hemingway Guido "Guy" Fawkes Ichabod of the Crane Stance Theodore "T-Rex" Roosevelt Of course, it sounds like your standard time-traveling game fare, but there's one stipulation to character creation: Your character must be from history or legend, and all abilities must have some foundation within their tale. Examples from another group I'm running this game for include a player running Sylvia Plath, with dark powers emanating from her poetry, and Emperor Joshua Norton I, with his ability to impose his imperial will upon reality momentarily. Sound like something anyone would be interested in playing in? There are some banned characters (Like Jesus/other religious, or anyone already in the society) and other information, but I'm too lazy to type things unless it's for a reason. |
