Default "Sometimes You Just Run Out of Hate" or "I forgive you Joe Quesada"

A couple days ago I got rid of my issues of One More Day. I hated those four issues for the ruination of Spider-Man for years but I always kept them so that I'd remember that. They served as a reminder for why I would never read a mainstream Spider-Man comic again.

But a funny thing happened the other day. A friend brought up OMD and I didn't really react the way I had before. I didn't care anymore about what it had done. Even more, I defended the current run of Spider-Man based on the previews I'd seen or the odd couple of times I flipped through an issue of Amazing at the shop.

And then I realized something. I just don't feel that hate anymore.

For the longest time I got my Spider-Man fix from the Ultimate universe but that all came to an end. Don't get me wrong, the new series is great but it's not the same. Miles Morales ain't Peter Parker.

I'm gonna start reading Spider-Man again starting at Brand New Day and working my way up through the trades. I don't care about the change in the status quo anymore. Nothing stays the same.

So, if any of you have been keeping up with Spider-Man are there any so-so or downright terrible arcs that I should skip? Is BND the best place to start from or should I be looking a little later down the line?
