ConnectiCon 2004
Figured I'd register and post here asking to see if anyone from here was going to Connecticon, for obvious reasons I've been looking forward to it for quite some time, as it's really one of the few conventions we get here in Connecticut.
While searching the site, this link looked interesting to me: http://www.connecticon.org/modules.p...rder=0&thold=0 Is there a group being made for this or 8 Bit not going to make a showing?

I'll be going there myself this year for some enjoyment. Good thing a friend of mine is on their committee. It's going to be quite good this year, I promise you that. Everyone who can should also go.

I returned from the ConnectiCon a few hours ago, and did not get to see Brian. When first I tried, he was still sleeping from the night before, and when last I tried, he had already come and gone.
And I only wanted to say 'Hello.'

I was from 10am to 1am Friday, from 1pm to 1am Saturday, and well after closing on Sunday.

I was there as a volunteer most days, and it was definitely worth it. Didn't get a chance to talk to you, even though I saw you once or twice, since by Sunday during closedown I was too incoherent to do more than tell other volunteers what to do and stand around looking tired.

I don't think I ever stopped seeing Brian. Of course, I did drive him to the hotel once. And he got the wonderful (otherwise known as horrible) driving experience that is CT. The main reason I could never stay in CT.
Of course.... the weirdest moment would have to have been the random person coming up to me and asking if I had a car. She hadn't gotten to the convention till like 5 pm on Sunday when everything was pretty much closed down and needed a ride so she could catch a city bus. In total I drove 3 people and was supposed to take another guy to the train station but he dissapeared. Was with Rob Balder when the guy asked me if I knew how to get to the station. And I wasn't even wearing my staff or volunteer shirts for either circumstance. Also got kidnapped by Tim and Rob once to pick up Mookie. Curse being one of the few people who know where the hotel and train/bus station are. |
