Seriously... some of the admins have a tendancy to be jackasses! I saw them ban some dude for a spoiler, even though the text was blacked out and couldn't be read unless you highlighted it, they banned him just becasue he didnt say "Oh yea, the following text you can't see, is a spoiler..." I've seen them ban someone for flaming when it clearly wasn't flaming. Hell, I've even seen them ban someone seemlingly on a whim. Sometimes it didn't look as if anything wrong had been done at all, but the person was still banned. And the reason given was alogn the lies of "I'm in a bad mood so you're banned."
For the most part the mods are good at waht they are doing, keeping thread from getting out of hand, keeping things civil and remotely on track, but there are a few that need ot be watched. I'm mainly talking about Krylo and Shiney. Krylo more for the random bannings, and Shiney for being a jack ass. I mean come on, I can understand editing posts for legitimate reasons, or editing it to a certain degree for language or what not, but changing an entire post just becasue you're in a pissy mood? When the post isn't doing anything wrong and you edit it you're just being a pompous bastard.

P.S.- Bets on how long it takes Krylo to ban me for this?

Like hell it was blacked out. Plainly visible is more like it.

Handy hint: you've let off steam, good and well. But I guess you know what happens if someone sneaks back on while they're temp-banned and continues posting under another username.

I'm actually posting on another username because I got banned...even though I don't know why I was banned in the first place. I reviewed my posts and I didn't flame or say spoilers...if the mod who banned PrismaticRainbowTeardrop would like to elaborate on why, please PM me.

Banning is a judgement thing, guys. you probably didn't JUST screw up once, Angryjew, you likely screwed up several times in the past. they have a list that they compile together, and while Shiney may not be known for his habit of overlooking screw ups, not even he bans without giving a warning. believe me, if they banned without thinking, I woulda been gone a LONG time ago.

but now your screwed, since you came back on while temp banned, instead of waiting for you ban to be up.

And prismatic rainbow teardrop? you should have gone onto the IRC or checked a mod's email and sent the complaint. or even signed in as a guest. Well, that's my two bits, likely where they were not needed, but possibly saving someone else the time of saying it otherwise.

You really shouldn't point out when the mods are being irrational. They hate that. Trust me.

If I'm not mistaken, whenever you see something like that, it's because the spoiler wasn't blacked out at all, and the mod edited the post and blacked out the spoiler for him. And I know for a fact that mods don't ban people for not saying "The following blacked out text is a spoiler." I know because I do it all the time. That, and it's pretty much a given that blacked out text will 99% of the time be spoilers.

I know the mods can sometimes dish out their judgments with a less than civil attitude, but I've yet to see a ban that I don't agree with. Geez, you make them out to be Nazis or something. An angry Jew complaining about Nazis. Heh. I made a funny.

Static IP's are provided by the ISP, associated with a specific and single internet account and do not vary from computer to computer.

Your IP matches EXACTLY two other accounts. Seeing as there is no reason to make a third one and we are aware that this is infact a third account, IP standing, we felt that this account should be banned, and furthermore, this current account you are posting on shall be banned within time.

If you feel the need to discuss this in private, you may. But otherwise we stand by our decision.

Also note, that I feel no need to defend myself or say anything here. If a poster who hadn't broken the rules and gotten angry over modly retribution, causing them to create a new account just to whine, had some issue with me, I'd be more than happy to explain myself. However, that is not the case.
