Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
This game is going to be so awesome! To bad we have to wait a whole year practically. November 1. 2004 to be exact. Solid Snake looks so much more detailed from what i have seen on tv.

i just hope they pass off the patriot plot as a prank played by someone notorious or something. that way we can once again enjoy a plot about metal gears, tyrants, and traitors rather than psuedo demi-maserminds who supposedly control everything.

Well, from what I've heard you'll be playing Big Boss, not Snake. Who if you recall, is Solid, Liquid & Solution Snake's clone daddy (I refuse to call him Solidus). While in later years, he looked much like Solution, it isn't too hard a guess to suspect that he might have looked like Snake when he was younger (I think Solid & Liquid might age slower than Solution because, they're altered clones, and Solution is a direct copy of Big Boss.)
Anyway, the story goes like this. In Metal Gear 1 (both for NES & MSX, MSX being the far better version), Snake inflitrates a base called Outer Heaven, because they've kidnapped a high ranking scientist named, Dr. Pettrovich who was working on something called Metal Gear. Snake's support is Big Boss, then head of Fox Hound. Also of note, is Grey Fox, another member of Fox Hound who was sent into Outer Heaven prior to Snake, and was apparently captured. In the course of Metal Gear 1, you free Grey Fox, get to learn more about Metal Gear, and the base. Its very similar to Metal Gear Solid, in the way you work yourself deeper & deeper into the complex, with Big Boss chiming in occasionally to give you tips & hints. Of course, in the end it turns out that Big Boss himself is the one behind Outer Heaven, and sending Snake in was supposed to be a snow job. Unfortuantly, Snake proves to be too resourceful, and not only manages to destroy Metal Gear, but apparently kill Big Boss. Cut to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (only for the MSX, the Metal Gear 2 for NES is *NOT* the same game, nor considered canon). Snake, under the command of Roy Campbell, infiltrates a place called Zanzibar Land, which has kidnapped a scientist named Dr. Kilo Marv, who has developed a new type of fuel additive which can expand fuel supplies tenfold. Again, Snake infiltrates the complex with his typical skill, only to find tactics similar to those he encountered in Outer Heaven. Eventually even running across Dr. Petrovich again, and another Metal Gear, piloted by none other than Grey Fox. Big Boss of course makes another appearance, and in the final fight, admits to Snake that he is his father. I'll now make some guesses about what happens in Snake Eater. Big Boss will encounter Dr. Petrovich, and the original Metal Gear prototype, and will be extremely impressed. He might also run into a young Grey Fox, but that's not a certain. He also might learn something about the Patriots, which might explain why he tried to create places like Zanzibar Land & Outer Heaven. Perhaps he was trying to fight back against the Patriots, in his own way? Sky Warrior Bob - Look in getting a MSX emulator & the Metal Gear 1 & 2 rom files. If you need any help, PM me.

My guess is Solid will somehow be shown in this game, maybe as just a file or something, but he will probably be in there...
ANd who is Grey Fox?

Grey Fox is the cybernetic ninja that you meet in Metal Gear Solid 1. Of course, in Metal Gear 1 & 2, he's just a grunt like Snake.
As for seeing Snake, if that happens it'll be just as a baby, as I think Snake Eater is set far too early for Snake to be around in any other form (for some reason I recall the 1950s being mentioned, but I don't think I'm right there). Also, just to give you people eye candy, here's a screen grab from Metal Gear 2 & Metal Gear 1 for the MSX. MG2 is on the Left & MG1 on the Right.. Sky Warrior Bob

I know he would be a baby, but he is the 'main character' (Who liked Raiden, really? And who knew of the two MGSs before the PSX one?) So they will probably mention him somehow

Metal Gear Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty/Substance Also, I think in Metal Gear Solid 2, its mentioned that the cells used to create Solid, Liquid & Solution were taken from Big Boss just after a major battle. Its likely that Snake Eater will involve that battle in some way or form. Sky Warrior Bob

Yup.
In the end, we'll learn more about Big Boss. Plus, who knows, he might have gone by the handle Snake originally. (Just Snake, not anything else.) Also, don't be suprised if all of what I mentioned doesn't come up at first. I'm pretty sure the the game is going to start off with allowing the player to think they're playing Solid Snake, whereas, the player will eventually learn he/she's playing Big Boss. SWB
