Pure Fun
This thread is dedicated to those moments of pure, unadulterated fun in gaming. The moments where you may or may not be furthering the plot, but you're having so much fun just being at the controls. The parts where you forget you're playing a game.
Swimming as a Zora in Majora's Mask. Combat in Wind Waker - It was easy, sure, but it was so fluid, and so beautiful to watch that I hardly even cared. This game was at its best when it put you against five or so Darknuts at a time. And let's not forget the Savage Labyrinth. Yowza. edit: almost forgot, but just about any Colossus battle from Shadow of the Colossus qualifies.

Oh, let's see. Killing a White Balverine with a master bow with 3 silver augmentations in one shot in Fable. Chrono Trigger. Leveling the hell out of my characters and kicking a Midgar Zolom's ass the first time when you are supposed to use a chocobo in FF7 (though something pisses me off. 250 XP?! What the hell is that?!). Kicking Riku's ass in the beginning of Kingdom Hearts |

Chrono Trigger.
Also, Chrono Trigger. ... The bit in Kingdom Hearts 1, where you learn how to fly, with Peter Pan and shit? That was pretty fantastic.

Chrono Trigger again.
Also 75% of both Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy VIII SotN. All of it from top to bottom[/pun]. The first half of Tales of Phantasia way back in 1998. Then I suddenly just stopped playing it. All 12 or whatever play throughs of Ocarina of Time. Millions of hours on GoldenEye, Kirby's Adventure, Mario 1, Zelda 1 and 4, Metroid II and various fighting games. Using the Sphere Grid on FFX. All of Suikoden II. Just using magic alone was extreme fun for me, let alone everything else. Pretty much the same as Chrono Trigger there. Osu! Tateke! Ouedan! (or whatever the spelling). The whole game is just fun, even when you lose.

Smash Bros. Oh smash bros. I love thee well. <3. Most Pure fun ever.
Also, I loved Yoshi's Island more than my little brother, and I can alway pick up and play Madness Interactive for the fun of knife throwing.

The entire Rampage series. The new one is just utterly fantastic! ^__^
Oh, and useing Valor Form in KH2. Dual wielding has always amused me. Baldar's Gate 2, going through as Drizzt on easy mode and slaughtering goblins left and right. Glee!

The Labyrinth and outer wall in Cave Story; with the former being soul-blasting (Level 3 Blade), Gaudi stomping, guns a'blazing fun; and the latter being a moment of discovery, decision, and beauty. Then the rest of the game. I thank those who mentioned it on another thread, and warn everyone else that, unless you download and play this game, your life is incomplete. Like "those kids whose parents leave'em in a closet or strapped to a chair" incomplete. Get it.
On to games I'm not currently replaying, I lurved the jetpack levels in Pilotwings 64. I even managed a 100% in all the missions. Jetting through that cave at top-speed without hitting anything is a huge rush (or, at least for a video game). Also, the first time I beat Doomsday Zone in Sonic 3 and Knuckles was great. The music, the challenge (I was about 10), the getting to play as Super Sonic at a time when I believed with all my heart (as opposed to the shriveled remnants of it) he was bad ass and had no knowledge that he was possibly a DBZ parody; good times.

Most of the fighting parts of Tales of Symphonia. Yes, including "random" encounters.
Ship battles in Skies of Arcadia. Choose things and watch them go blastity-kaboom. Chrono Trigger thirded. Being praised as the best monk ever in Guild Wars by three different PUGs. Putting your neighbors into pits in Animal Crossing.
