Default Error Message

So I have a problem that's been with me about a month now. As I work on my computer, I get two error messages that come up:

Runtime error 5 at 13105866

After some experimentation, it only seems to come up when I'm connected to the Internet; when the wireless is off I don't have any trouble. I've done a bunch of system restores, and those worked well enough until I'd slip in a flash drive. I think it may have to do with my accidentally kicking the drive while it was stuck in one of the front ports (my tower was close to the floor, I was walking by and I hit it by accident. Dumbass, I know. ), but I'm not for certain.

I figure now is as good a place as any to ask, does anyone have an idea of what may be the problem and how I may go about fixing it?

Well, we'll need more info on the conditions that it happens under. I find it hard to believe that a flash drive is responsible just because it was kicked, unless it was actively transferring data. Is it always in the same ports? You may have screwed the ports up in this case. Or if it's only when the flash drive is in, it may be the flash drive having issues. If it happens after you insert the drive and persists, the drive may have a virus on it and more research will be needed to find the deeper problem.

Otherwise, what are you running when this happens? Are you using a lot of RAM or CPU? Using the Internet? Does it happen at random? Regularly, in intervals? Just once? Are there other applications open?

Yeah, all that comes up is that little bit of text. It's been very selective when it comes up lately, like right now I don't have it. But generally, it's come up when I've had an active connection to the Internet. I run on a wireless connection, so when the router's off, the error doesn't pop up. It used to be coming up frequently at start-up, but lately it's been more random-ish.

As for other conditions... the flash drive wasn't actively transferring anything, as far as I know. It was just sitting there, though I may have a had a document open that was saved on it (does that count as active transfer?). I would imagine it's only with the same ports, as the four in the back have never given me any trouble, just the front two.

I'm not usually running much, usually just Internet Explorer, a folder or two, a Word document, Photoshop, maybe Media Player (and all of that is the very most I'll be running at one time). I wouldn't say that's much of a strain on my machine, it's relatively new.

A quick Google search leads me to believe that it's related to IE.

Also windows entitled Error (It's a iexplorer.exe process) keeps coming up - very annoying and disrupting. It says runtime error 5 at 13105866.

I have two iexplorer.exe running when I only have once instance of IE7 running. Could one of them be caused by a virus?

The error message keeps coming up. I have to leave it there because when I press OK, it comes back seconds later. There are 2 instances of the error message.
