Recording off a DS
Hey NPF, I want to do some video's on some DS Games and I was wondering if there was anyway to record game footage from a DS onto your computer, without using a Videocamera?

Well, there were these lovely things that could export the DS's screen to a TV, made by a Taiwon-ese company named Q-mark, but I can't seem to find 'em anymore.
Most DS gameplay thingies are done with professional hardware and junk (in the case of professional gameplay videos that advertise the game), or some skill with a camera or two. The best advice I can give is to at least search Ebay, the rest is to try and get a webcam, some cardboard, some tape, set the brightness to a decent setting and play a game that only requires you to look for the most part at one screen.

One way would be to acquire a DS devkit and play autonomously through the computer to record it.
However doing so would not only be illegal but also bar you from ever working for or ever producing a game for nintendo. So don't do that. Alternatively, If you own both the game and the DS, you could to a targetted screen capture with an emulator. |

I'd not recommend the camera route, either.
Without the use of an emulator and typical capture software on a computer, you're looking at a camera and your DS.

I've seen some pretty sweet get-ups with a camera and DS involving showboxes with lighting. Just having that is probably more impressive than saying "yeah I plugged this wire into my PC" despite the probable quality costs.
