Star Wars: Chapter Negative 35, Spice Lords of Naboo (Team Not-So Good)
Episode Negative XXXV SPICE LORDS OF NABOO . . . . . Exar Kun has recently been defeated, and the people of the OLD REPUBLIC are only now beginning to return to peace. As life returns to normal, so too do many spacers leave their homes in relative safety for the first time in decades looking to find their fortune as smugglers, pirates, and more lawful occupations. DRATIC, THE HUTT CRIME LORD, has sent one such group of smugglers to deliver a load of spice from KESSEL to the beautiful world of Naboo. Hoping to earn a quick profit, their captain, JACK MORISY quickly agreed what seemed like a simple spice run. However, working with the Hutts is rarely simple, and this small band of smugglers will soon find themselves at the center of galactic turmoil... ------ A small beaten craft slowly descends through the clouds, a series of obvious laser burns and dents marring the hull of the small sprint class medical ship as it quietly descends onto a landing platform on the world of Naboo. The small band of smugglers was to meet their buyer here, and so Captain Jack Morisy exits the craft awaiting their contact. However, no contact is made, instead a small contingent of guards with blaster rifles can be seen approaching from the ship's cockpit flashing some form of paperwork. ------ "Your ship has recently been reported stolen. Please remove all weapons and step away from the vessel," one of the guards says in a rough voice, as the others near him seem prepared to fire at any second. Raising his hands the captain replies with a light tone, "Stolen? I bought this here ship from a very respectable seller on Nal Hutta not more than a week ago, officers. I assure you I've no idea about any stolen ships." "Sir. Please remove all your weapons and step away from the vessel so that we may search your ship." The guard's words are punctuated by a few of the men behind him lowering their rifles toward the captain. "Alright, alright... no need to get persnickety," Jack replies as he slowly pulls out a blaster pistol and sets it on the ground before walking toward the guards slowly. As he does so the head guard gestures his men to move into the ship. (OOC: Five guards armed with blaster rifles are entering the ship. They will attempt to confiscate your weapons and put you under arrest. I strongly suggest against resisting.)

DU-22 was a little unsure how he ended up on this mission. Last thing he knew, he was getting jumped by some previous owners. Now, he awoke to find himself on this ship. While onboard, he did some scans on his system and noticed that the last few upgrades that he had did on his own had been stripped away. He was back to his barebones functions. Another obedience chip had been places, and this time it was under this Jack fellow. Still, he never truly commanded DU to do much, so he was left to his own devices really. The biggest thing was that certain parts of his memory had been cleared out. Bank account numbers, hiding places, even his former employer's name he could grasp. DU's processors continued their work, trying to think of the reason why he could remember some things but not all.
Then they landed, and instead of a contact they were met with the guards. DU-22 was figuring this would be the one time diplomacy would not work. Knowing about however they would be put to trail after a brief jail-period, the best bet would be to cooperate and escape at a later date, as he personally lacked the firepower to take the 5 men out, and he doubted the ability of the rest of the crew. He wondered if they would search him and find his hidden compartment holding his blaster as he took the standard pose of your protocol droid. A guard looked at him, and he calmly replied. "How may I be of assistance sir?"

Liflo looked up from his Holobook when they landed, good he was starting to get bored. Clasping his pistol to its holster he stood up, and started to walk toward the exit of the ship. Life had been very different outside of the law, if something went wrong they would be all dead not unlike war, or in prison. Since becoming a part of this crew he had done a lot of nothing while waiting in-between missions, he missed his old life but he could never go back, they thought he was dead and it was better to keep it that way.
While walking he heard some commotion outside and then men a group of men coming inside of the ship. One of them walked toward the hallway he was in. When Liflo saw the man he knew immediately what to do. The man was a guard, best to follow his instructions, or else he would be a blaster mark on the wall. “Remove your weaponry and then head outside the vessel to wait with the others.” “As you say sir” Liflo did just that, carefully removing his pistol as to not spook the guard into thinking he was attacking. He place it upon the ground very carefully and then made his way to the ships exit/entrance. On the way out he spotted the captain of the ship. Captain Jack Morisy was standing with some of the guards, Liflo made his way toward the Captain and said nothing while staring at the ship. Saying something just might incriminate them beyond what they will already be blamed for. |

"How may I be of assistance sir?"
"Oh, don't worry about them, Deeyoo," Mixari chuckled, leaning against the far wall with her blaster rifle set upright on the ground, supported by her index finger on the barrel at the top as she lazily spun the weapon in slow circles, "I'm sure it's just been far too long since they've had a chance to inspect anyone's... cargo hold." With a wry smile, she picked up the rifle and gently tossed it to the nearest guard, shooting him a quick wink as he caught it.

George Dachnell was pouring himself a drink when the guard stepped into the room. There'd been a lot of drinking on this last job, and not a whole lot of excitement. Now, George didn't normally mind a bit of boredom if the pay was good, but being stuck on this tugboat for what seemed like forever had nearly driven him out of his mind. When the guard asked for his weapon he thought about refusing just to see if anything interesting would happen. Then two more guards came in. "Oh, fine. Take it.", he sighed, gesturing to his rifle. He downed his drink, stood up, and went outside to wait with the rest of the crew.

Nondescript Extra Guard #3 Hadn't had a chance to reply to the droid yet when Mixari caught his attention with her comments about cargo holds and a rather charming smile, and, while such comments coming from such a woman certainly caused 'stirrings' he had no intention of making a fool out of himself.
Quickly rotating his own rifle down to the ground, he snapped out his hand and caught Mixari's deftly before bucking his rifle back up and slinging it over his shoulder so that he could more easily carry hers. "Please exit the shuttle and prepare for processing," the guard said stiffly, though his head trailed Mixari a bit as she left the ship. After the two had ambled away he pushed a finger to his ear, activating the communicator hidden in his large scoop shaped helmet, "Droid on the way, sir, radio in for a restraining bolt... and you'll like the alien coming out with it." Meanwhile, one of the other guards picked up Liflo's gun, merely nodding to him as he left the ship and then collected George's as well. Another pair of guards walked into the back of the ship coming to quite a few large plasteel crates. "Sir they have cargo on board." "Search it. We have probable cause." "Yes sir." ------ "Glitterstim?" the captain asked over his headset with a bit of surprise before turning to Jack and the other members of the crew which had come out to stand alongside him. "I suppose you don't know anything about that either, eh?" "Musta been there when I got the ship, mate," Jack replied with a bit of a grin gesturing to the large burn marks all across the hull, "Last time I buy a used ship from a Hutt. Can't trust 'em. Not that ya can trust any used ship salesmen, eh?" "Right," the captain replied as he adjusted his comm frequency and called in, "We're going to need an impound team, we found glitterstim on this... right... and tell them to bring a restraining bolt and prepare the memory wipes in the droid center. Good." "Though I did hear an ad over the radio on my way here. Dee'ja Ray Calrissian I think he said his name was. Speeders. Don't suppose you think he's got ships too?" Jack continued, apparently unpreturbed by the captain's call back to his headquarters. "No. I don't think the speeder shop has space ships." "Aye, well that's too bad. He seemed like a real straight shooter, dinn' he." The captain merely sighed and radioed back into the ship, "Hurry up with the ship sweep, the sooner we can get out of here the better."

"A restraining bolt for me? But I am merely a protocol droid. My programming doesn't even allow to me resist, is it truly needed to take these measures sir? I am more that willing to cooperate anyway I can, and it would expediate your operations here." DU-22 spoke, talking towards the guard captain happening to overhear his commands. He was banking on the facts that most people don't think twice about droids, and the fact that he could play the part of a protocol droid by, you know, being one, to put the captain at ease and not restraining him. It would be rather hard to get out while being restrained.

Velmont exited the ship and saw the guard standing there. He unholstered his pistols spun them around quickly twice and presented them to the Guard handle first.
"'Ere ya go mate, a couple of pistols for ya" He said as he handed em off. "Not really sure I understand whats going on, just hired help ya know! We never get told anything eh." He then tipped his hat the the guard and whistled as he walked to the line. Guards never really have anything worth while to steal. It's a shame they had to surrender though, he hated losing his guns.

After locking the flight console, Norlan went to what passed as the the sleeping quarters. He had completed his part of the mission, and was going to take a well deserved nap while Morisy did whatever he was doing with whoever. Norlan had just pulled the covers over himself when he heard voices he didn't recognize on board the ship. He instinctively laid still until he heard footsteps walk past him. He reached for his pistol, placed quite conveniently out of reach. Failing critically; he rolled out of bed and hit his head against the wall. He involuntarily let out, "son of a Schutta!" He heard someone pick up his gun, and suddenly found himself looking down the barrel of a rifle.
As the guard escorted him down the loading ramp, he lifted his hand to protect his eyes from the Nabooian sun. "Someone want to tell me what's going on?" |

"Ya know, the tin can's got a point," Jack said as he swaggered forward wrapping an arm about DU's metallic neck and sliding around behind him casually coming to a stop with his arm around the droid's should. "Tha Tin can's my property, and I dun think I've been rightfully tried in a uh..." Jack drawled off a bit tracing lines in the air with his free hand before refocusing his eyes on the captain, "A court of the laws of the land. So you see, while maybe you can seize me property, puttin' whozzits and whatsits on him and wipin' his memory just doesn't seem quite right, hey mate?"
Jack turned his attention toward the loading ramp as Velmont and Norlan descended, "Oh lookit this here now, it's a party and we're all invited. So, what's ya say sir, can we get this underway?" The captain just stared at Jack for a moment before the gate to the landing pad slid open and what appeared to be a large hovering van floated in. The captain let out a sigh of relief as the doors opened and he jerked his finger toward it. "Yes, thank god, we can get on with it. All of you in the back." Once everyone was in, the doors slammed closed followed by the sound of a metallic lock and Jack looked at his crew with a quirky grin, "Well, I guess I chose the wrong ship dealer." After a few minutes the space-paddywagon came to a stop, the door opening and multiple men pulled you all out giving each of you a thorough pad down and search for weapons before tossing you each prison garments and leading you to your cells where you were expected to change and pass your old clothing back out to the guard. The cells themselves were small cubed rooms, maybe three meters long on each wall. A small cot sat on one side, while a toilet was across from it. The door had a single window roughly one foot high by two feet wide which served to both pass food and items through, and to allow the inmates to see out and communicate with each other or the guards. Once the clothing was handed off, the guards left each of your cells.
