The sprites are low-res enough that editing them shouldn't be an issue.

What i meant is the sprites like the ones for garland,
or the ones that aren't the normal sprites. Last edited by Sin-Ran; 02-14-2011 at 06:47 AM. |

Pretty much everything else is ripped off from either FF1 or FF3j without modification, other than Sarda, who's a modified Doga with a new position added for casting, Dragoon, who's a recolored FF3j Dragoon, and a few custom poses. Basically, Brian owns about as much of the sprites as you own land on the Earth. If you're looking to make a sprite comic, there are plenty of sprites freely available without hitting up Brian for his.

The thing is, i'm not that good at editing sprites.
I noticed that for what i'm wanting to make i wont need bikke or garland sprites. But what about sprites like in this comic http://www.nuklearpower.com/2003/04/...-panel-battle/ What about those Last edited by Sin-Ran; 02-14-2011 at 08:22 PM. |

You could cut them out of the comic and touch'em up. Or just pixel-by-pixel copy it. You know, one Paint window, one browser-of-your-choice window; switch between them.

Ask Sky Warrior Bob. He made them.

I have to ask: if you can't edit the sprites yourself, what are you using them for?

Just saying this, but if you're making sprite comics, you'll either want a very good source of sprites (either a very expressive game or someone to do them for you) or to be able to modify them yourself.
Also, Brian's advice to making sprite comics has always been "don't." They don't sell and 8-Bit's success was a massive anomaly. But really, from a guy who does sprites, and started doing them for sprite comics, you'll want to learn how to do sprites if you're going to be making sprite comics. The benefit is that once a sprite is made, you can save and re-use it.
