Minor Keyboard Hotkey Annoyance Turning Into Big Problem

So on me laptop, I've got a row of hotkeys/shortcuts/whatever you want to call them on the left most side of the keyboard. You know, a button that opens my internet browser, one that opens the calculator, whatever. Now, this wouldn't really be a problem, except that I use this computer to game.

Playing TF2, when the movement keys and the shift keys are so close to the shortcut keys, and the fact that every time I accidentally press them, it takes a good two or three minutes to close it, re-open the game and, usually, with a bit of pos lag, find out who killed me.

So, question time: How do I turn them off?

Apply an industrial magnet to the bottom of your laptop. Move it in a counter clockwise fashion, starting at the, when looking down at the keyboard, upper right corner, spiraling in to the center, and then retrace back out, ending in the same spot.

Repeat as necessary.

Try googling it? The make/model of the laptop, and disabling the hotkeys.

Alternately, open up task manager and start killing driver processes at random.

Did you check the Control Panel options about your keyboard? I don't know how it works on Laptops, but sometimes when you have a special Multimedia device some options are configurable via the control panel. Maybe you can't turn those keys off, but you can reconfigure what they do, just configure them to "null" or something of the sort

Even after I learned, grew up, and came to be on the right side of a lot of important issues, I was still angry, abrasive, and generally increased the amount of hate in the world, in pretty unacceptable ways. On the off chance that someone is taking a trip down memory lane looking through those old threads, I wanted to devote my signature to say directly to you, I'm sorry.
