Dead Dell laptop, warranty question
I could browse the internet and stuff but, I'd like to know something.
First of all, my laptop died, suddenly it turned off, it won't turn on again and the light in the charger goes off as soon as it's plugged in the laptop. It won't turn on and nothing I've tried changed that. It's a Dell Studio XPS 1640, a discontinued model, and in my case, discontinued parts (most notably, the video card and processor). The warranty expired over a year ago BUT I can get a new warranty. Anyway, here's my question: Does anyone know what does Dell do when a discontinued PC, that's within the warranty period, stops functioning?

Fixing this laptop would cost me around 1/2 of what a new XPS laptop would cost so, I'll just get a new one...in a couple years ;_;
