Comixology giving away free comics this summer
Comixology is a digital comics retailer, delivering thousands of comics to your mobile device(Or PC if you still have one of those archaic machines) at reasoneable prices and bundled with the Guided View, a panel-by-panel, scene-by-scene narration that helps you enjoy comics in a unique way in the smaller screens.
They also feature an array of Free Comics, if you're unsure about spending your dear money on drawings and also random Sales, essentially making it Steam for Comics and being the cause of me buying over 300 comics this year. Now that the introductions are over, for the next two weeks Comixology will be giving away free comics! While the past few choices were a bit crummy, today's it's Lumberjanes #1! Quote:

Archer and Armstrong vs. the World
|
Archer & Armstrong is a balls-to-the-wall laughfest, a hilarious political and social satire of American culture and conspiracy theories. Dinosaurs, aliens (both ancient and futuristic), Area 51, the Freemasons, time travel, alternate dimensions, immortals, the Epic of Gilgamesh, it's got it all.
Unfortunately, Archer & Armstrong: Archer #0 is the worst place to start for basically anyone getting into it. It's not funny and deals with the (sad) backstory of Obadiah Archer. The regular Archer & Armstrong #0 would have been a way better offering by Valiant to get people reading A&A. The Gimp suit guy is Scorpius. |

Hey thanks a lot, that looks like an interesting series!
Today's gift is Gravel: Combat Magician #0 which once again I know nothing about(shame on me) except that it's written by Warren Ellis, british extraordinaire author of such gems as Transmetropolitan(still on sale), the hilarious Nextwave and the webcomic Freakangels, among others, so this might be worth all that invisible money. This is the point at which we're all supposed to pretend that professional wrestling has some artistic value or merit.

All IDW Ghostbusters comics are on sale and I'd like the opinion of someone who tried them as I can't quite grasp the cronology here anyway: Quote:

Today's gift featuring the Silver Surfer! Catch the first comic of the current series and get yourself some space adventuring!

The site has sales on the Street Fighter(By UDON) and Runaways(all 3 Volumes) going on right now! Runaways first volume is pretty good and I'd check the SF series, it ain't just a lame tie-in. Quote:

I'm really hoping that they give away some Rat Queens this summer. I've been meaning to get a hold of it for a while now.
