"Who Is The Greatest Superhero?" or "HULK SMASH!"
Obviously.
The Hulk is the strongest there is. Okay, let's talk Bruce Banner. Kind of a nerd, you say? He is the foremost expert on radiation in the Marvel universe. Even Doctor Doom and Reed Richards defer to him. He is frequently shown to be one of the smartest people in the world. Even without the Hulk personalities, he's still got some tricks up his sleeve. Let's talk women - now, as Jekyll and Hyde as Hulk is, so his love interests are a mix of human and alien. Betty Ross. Both versions. Yowza. Did I mention that she's played by Liv Tyler and Jennifer Connely? ...Yowza. Caiera. The mother of Hulk's children, member of his Warbound and all around badass. You know she fought him to a standstill? Jarella. A green skinned princess who welcomed Hulk into her tiny kingdom with open arms. How many superheroes, Gods and cosmic deities has Hulk smashed? So many, you guys. Like, oh, I don't know, Superman. Wolverine. Doctor Strange. Fun fact, Doctor Strange is kind of the sorcerer, casting powerful magic spells with a wave of his hand. So Hulk breaks his hands in World War Hulk. Iron Man. The X-Men. Sentry. Black Bolt. Loki. "Puny God." All of the Avengers. At once. Abomination. So, super sexy, intelligent and suave scientist (or rather, shy, awkward and dorky, but apparently both descriptions mean the same thing these days.) accidentally irradiates himself, turns into the Hulk, becomes the greatest super hero in the world. Just, y'know, leave him alone. Last edited by Seil; 06-12-2015 at 10:59 PM. |

I am shocked and appalled at the lack of any mention of Grey Hulk

No lie, my favorite super hero in the Marvelverse is Captain America precisely because he's so 'boring.'
There's just something incredibly refreshing about a decent human being with decent moral values stumbling his way into being a superhero, then refusing to compromise in spite of his comparative powerlessness Like, with Superman the dynamic's always: He can afford in some respects to have that strong moral framework because he's so overpowered that he's rarely in a position other superheroes find themselves in, where they have to consider compromising those values in order to subdue a superior foe With Captain America, fuck, those are his values, and he's not going to waver, even if it kills him. And damn, that's respectable. Boring, maybe. But respectable as fuck.

Hulk is so cool that the Illuminati fired him into space because he was too awesome. She-Hulk smashed Iron Man. Hulk took over a planet, met a girl, had some sons, and then Hulk's planet gets blown up by the Illuminati space ship. So Hulk and his friends make their way back to Earth to smash those responsible, straight up beats down some of the mightiest heroes of all time (Black Bolt, Sentry, Doctor Strange) and then builds a coliseum where humanity kicks back and watches some blood sports.
What part of the Illuminati fired the Hulk into space is boring? Also, Hulk is Hulk. Joe Fixit is dapper. |

After watching some Avengers cartoons, watching him go back to "Hurr smash" made me sad.

Comics characters change so many times over the years I don't really have a fave.
Currently I like Wonder Woman a lot, and Jean Grey from All New Xmen. My fave series of all time is probably Garth Ennis's run on The Punisher. Then again, come to think of it, I guess my fave character is Kit!

Yeah I'm going to have to go with my own character Jenny Creed. In terms of raw power she's basically the Hulk with shape-changing Wolverine claws and a pinch of Human Torch and functional immortality and wow she sounds like an original character from a bad fanfiction when you put it like that.
She also happens to have access to every real and fictional reality imaginable, so she's completely justifiable as an original character insert in fanfiction. Superhero comics taught me so much about writing.
