Ignored Guest Comic Submissions

Its about time I got off my lazy butt and take some action about Brians total ignore-his-fans attitude and post here. A while ago just before the first of the several Brian-Seeking-Hurricanes hit the US Brain put out a call for guest comics. I'm not sure how many people actually made submissions to him, but I did, and never got any responses back. I assumed that i was just lost in the craziness of the hurricane fiasco's, but i have emailed brian several times begging for him to give me some acknowledgement of my work whether he hated it, loved it, or just plain flat didnt give a hoot. So now I am making this post so that all you other lovely people out there can see my guest comic and tell me if it sucks and should just go jump off a cliff, or that i made a funny, you judge!

Even before I actually click that link the way you apparently take this personal puts me off the comic itself. Brian can't mail everyone who submitted a guest comic back because every time a lot of people do it. Ignore-his-fans attitude, sheesh. Can you say 'high-and-mighty attitude'?

woah now, who's taking it personally now, its just a joke, dont get me wrong, i love brian to the bitter ends of the world, and i know that i am just one of the thousands of people demanding his attention, i just figured i should give posting it here a shot is all

Well, I like to be dreadfully honest about things like this. And I gotta say, all I got when reading it was a "meh". All the humor seemed really forced. And the fart when he fell down....That's just unnecessary, and not adding anything.

Also, you might want to reduce the amount of black space between the frames, and make sure that, even if they aren't the same size, they all fit together and don't look randomly thrown on. You don't have to fill the whole space up, just don't leave THAT much void in there.

And well, that's all I can put into words at the moment.

I have to be honset, that wasn't that funny. The only part I found amusing was the last frame, the rest was just seemed like filler space. The fart part is kind of unecessary, IMO.

Now for some encouragement. It seems like you have a good feel of our beloved Brain's characters and style (even though Brain is funny and that was, well, not. Ignore this because this is the encouragement paragraph.) I think the main problem was the execution of the joke. The setting was good, the graphics were what I consider above-average, and BM had the right spunk. It just needs something more "zingy".

im no comic expert, thats for sure, thanks for the tips, i'll keep them in mind for future creations, i can take the heat, so dont be affraid to blow me apart, keep it coming.

I think the point was that he thought he blew something up by farting.

Well, can't say you did worse than I would have (I wouldn't know because I havent tried for guestcomichood), but it's kinda meh. The joke didn't make a lick of sense to me, but maybe it's because the thing shrunk on me while I was reading, so I couldn't make out the last panel. I dunno if it's because the site itself or that it's a GIF. For my photoshoppiness I use JPGs and Geocities, this seems to work fine.
