As for the rest; I think it was probably the Master who did it. He basically promised them a way to escape oblivion, by going back in time and creating the paradox machine, and from there they could survive another 100 trillion years encased in near inpregnable armour, sort of Dalek style.

Eh, not really. There've been plenty of non-crappy designs in the new series. There've been a few really nice looking ones too, plus they all look better in motion nowadays - no more Cybermen who just move like normal people except very slowly. I'm mostly talking about the "okay, here's some face paint and tin foil" designs.

I kind of assumed the Toclafane had created themselves before meeting The Master, to survive the conditions of living in a dead universe, rather than to survive into the XXIst century.

Man, Jon Pertwee was a badarse Doctor. He did karate and Inferno was a better alternate dimensions story than Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel. I still like Turn Left more, though.
Currently watching The Ambassadors of Death after an unsuccessful try to get into the first Dalek serial. Pacing was horrible during the sixties. Last edited by Regulus Tera; 02-03-2010 at 02:00 AM. |

ARGH LATIN ARGH
I really am not liking Donna Noble. She's annoying, and she does that "Make a complete ass of myself" stuff that made me hate Rose during the werewolf episode.

I hope she doesn't come back.
Okay, really liking Donna now. Feeling very meh about this whole season so far, though. The Doctor's Daughter was kind of an okay episode, but the ending sucked for about a billion different reasons.

Yeah, season four wasn't the best, but Donna was a pretty fun companion.

I agree, though.
I'll lay money that's why she got the part.
