When I was little, Tremors scared me. Mostly because the ONLY scene I saw was the bit where the guy's tugging at the air conditioner in the hole, then the graboid eats him and attacks his wife who's hiding in the car. Mostly because all I remember them showing is the tongue snakes pulling at the car and bashing the windows.

Well, if the worms existed, I'd be scared. I loved how they added the totally plausible "Guy who died from starvation/dehydration because he was on a pole 'cause he didn't want to take the chance of being eaten alive.

But back to Nightmare, you know, in the first Freddy movie, Nancy's dream?

This one.

I was thinking that it was a totally horror movie move, that no one could be that stupid as to follow their dead friend. But then I thought about dreams in general; when you show up naked to class, you're not thinking "Wouldn't I have remembered to put on at least some underwear this morning?" you're thinking "Hoshit, I'm all nakey and junk." Dreams make sense while you're sleeping, no matter how weird they get, and that's why this movie is scary.

Because you're not thinking "Why am I in a boiler room," you're thinking "Hoshit."

I am interested in the fact that they recast Freddy from Robert Englund, the original, to Jackey Earl-Hayley. You might know him as The Comedian, from Watchmen.
