This movie automatically goes in my Top 5. I'm gonna have to figure out the order at some point and move some other movies up and down the list but THIS movie is guaranteed a spot in the top 5.

I can't remember the last time I cried at a movie... Oh wait that's right, it was UP. Pixar is amazing. The entire climax of the film had my heart, literally, beating so fast just becuase that's how much effort I was putting into (unsuccessfully) holding back tears. Toy Story 3 was simply breathtaking in every way from top to bottom.

Okay, I watched me clips again, and there are certainly elements that repeat themselves. Trapped by bad guy, things look bad, Woody and Buzz ride toy to save other toy or whatever. Are these elements in 3?
3 is more like a better version of 2, thematically anyway, (dealing with the idea of Andy eventually out-growing his toys, their commitment to Andy vs the choice to move on) though the narrative between the 3 movies fits pretty well together. But the first movie was more about Buzz and Woody overcoming their differences, Buzz coming to terms with his identity (The explanation for which seemed to be retconned in this movie, just slightly).

Btw - during the opening of the movie, did anyone else get the impression that they were trying to show you that this is how awesome life is like for a toy when they're being played with? That this is literally what they experience?
