Shakespeare... With Gnomes
Gnomeo And Juliet
At first I was thought it was a terrible idea. Then I thought it was riding of the success of Toy Story 3. Quote:

Romeo and Juliet with feuding Dwarves families woulda been great, but Gnomes? Fuck Gnomes.
Also the fact it's been dumped and shut down by two major studios seems to imply its general suckiness. Can't wait to see MacBeth with Elves though. |

It looks cute and all, but that's about it. Also, it strikes me that if the trailer was that unimpressive, the movie isn't going to be any better.
Which sucks, because visually it's great, the voice work is good, and they could have made it work.

There is the upside of seeing one gnome poisoned to death and another stabbing herself in the chest, along with several gnome swordfights and stabbings.
OHNOES SPOILERS. I wanna see Julius Gnomer and Brutus' gnome wife swallows hot coals to kill herself, that'll go over well with the kiddies. |

I'd rather watch Gnome Hamlet. The death toll is much higher and there are more gnome ghosts runnin' around.

I say what our modern media needs is a gnome-version of all kinds of Elizabethan England plays, not just Shakespeare, we need some morality plays, I'm talking Everygnome (Everyman), or Marlowe's Dr. Gnoemus (Dr. Faustus) where Dr. Gnomeus sells his soul to Mephignomacles for 21 years of awesome black gnome magic that he can lord over other gnomes.
