Is it okay if I pretend that Soul Society and Aizen never happened, and that this is a continuation of the "school boy with his school friends in a modern setting highlighted by ghost shenanigans" dynamic from before?
'Cause I really liked that dynamic you guys.
Literally the only reason I started with the series in the first place. Also the reason why I stopped once I realized that it might never go back to it again.

I'm hoping that if/when he does get his powers back, that the action is localized within Karakura Town. Just center things around that Sensui-esque former Deputy, keep things in Karakura Town, keep doing character interaction like this, let Chad win, and we'll be good.

Every anime that starts out with a premise/dynamic like that throws it the fuck out 13 episodes in and replaces it with "main character becomes god, then, kills god."

Fifth just pointed out, yeah, that's how anime like this works. There are few that don't. Bleach is not one of them, you all know that. Embark again on the quest to find that anime/manga, because stopping halfway and just complaining about one of them isn't going to work very well.

I like Bleach. I really do. I guess I'm immune to plot holes and stuff, because I read it for fun, not for a crazy great perfect story it has to be, not for making a ship and flaming whoever isn't a fan of it. I'm not trying to go "shit, y'all, you ain't true fans like me!" I'm just saying that, seriously, Bleach has been heading the same for quite a while and if you haven't liked the ride so far, you can get off at any point.
