MovieBob: The Big Picture. Promising?
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/vide...Combat-Evolved
So MovieBob has a new series on The Escapist and it looks interesting. First off, it's not movies. Or it can be, since he's been given carte blanche on it. It's a more toned-down thing than he usually does, too. Thoughts?

well I personally enjoy overanalysing things so, I'll probably work it into my weekly web-isode routine

FRONT KICK OF DOOM!

The first one about Halo was pretty good. Really says a lot about the series in general.

thinking about it I realized the variety of races was actually a purely gameplay issue. The story reason for it was probably added later, and it wasn't even on a subconscience level representative of anything.
The game needed a variety of enemies to fight, and for the player to be able to easily destinguish between them. This is why they look different, and most likely there is no reason beyond this. On the reverse side, the differance in spartans isn't that important to gameplay. So they make them all the same to save on production costs.
